Torben’s background combines military precision with Arctic field experience. He began his career with the Royal Guard in 1994 and later served with the Sirius Dog Sled Patrol in 1998 – an experience that laid the foundation for a lifelong connection to Greenland.

Since 2005, Torben has participated in numerous expeditions in Northeast Greenland, including collaborations with Nanok and Arctic Capacity. He played a key role in the Leister Go North 2022 expedition, where his calm demeanor, professionalism, and humor made him an invaluable member of the team.

In his daily life, Torben runs his own carpentry business, but his heart and expertise remain in the Arctic field – where his composure, practical approach, and deep experience consistently inspire confidence and good spirit, even in the toughest conditions.
